Our Vision is to deliver value through sports

Our Story

white-bg-logo.png

Agalateya Sports Club emerged as a Not-for-Profit entity in June 2020, stemming from the initial vision to uncover outdoor alternatives that would foster active living amid the challenges posed by the pandemic lockdown. Our central mission revolves around facilitating accessible, enjoyable, and feasible active lifestyles, extending this ethos of inclusiveness to encompass all members of our community and transcending geographical boundaries.

"Agalateya" originates from the Egyptian dialect, meaning "cyclists." While initially founded by a quartet of Canadian-Egyptian cyclists, our club's scope goes beyond these confines, embracing diverse individuals and activities. Our varied programs encompass cycling, running, swimming, triathlon, team sports, and outdoor activities. As our club flourishes, so does the spectrum of sports we offer, continually expanding our horizons.

Our mission is to remove social and financial barriers by providing affordable and accessible sports to athletes and emerging athletes in a warm and social environment.

Our Values

Meet the Board of Directors

We began as a close-knit circle of friends who shared a passion for cycling. Over time, our collective enthusiasm propelled us to form a more expansive team, which naturally evolved into a thriving sports community. In due course, we took the significant step of establishing ourselves as a Not-for-Profit Sports Club. Our primary objective was to ensure that fitness and health knowledge could be accessed and embraced by all within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with aspirations of extending this accessibility and affordability to individuals across Canada.
