At Agalateya, running isn't just a sport; it's a transformative experience that has united our community since its inception. We first introduced our running programs in Spring 2021, with two Marathoners, Nadine Ibrahim and Ahmed Youssef, leading the way. Starting with 5K and 10K runs, we've grown and attracted a vibrant community of runners. We're excited to continue this journey this Fall with our new running programs and welcome everyone to join the fun.

Why Should Our Volleyball Community Join the Running Program?


Running offers numerous benefits that can transform your volleyball training:

  1. It will improve your Stamina. Running enhances cardiovascular endurance, helping you stay energetic throughout those long volleyball matches.

  2. It will increase your Agility. Regular running can improve your speed and agility, making you quicker on the court, a skill required for the intermediate level.

  3. Running helps in faster muscle recovery and reduces the risk of injuries by promoting better blood circulation.

If you're a cyclist, joining our running program can be a game-changer:

  1. Running is an essential part of duathlons and triathlons. By joining our programs, you'll be one step closer to participating in these exciting events.

  2. Running provides a great cross-training opportunity, improving your overall fitness and endurance.

  3. Adding running to your training regime diversifies your skill set, making you a more versatile athlete.




Join Our Fall Running Program



Our Fall running programs feature three distinct runs: 5K, 10K, and 21K. Participants will receive weekly training plans, run twice a week on their own, and join the weekend group run with a coach every Sunday at 7:30 AM at Tannery Park in Oakville. The programs will target various races, highlighting the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon.



Program Registration:

1. 10K and 21K Programs: Accessible and complimentary to all Agalateya members.

2. 5K Program: Accessible and complimentary for members and non-members.
